Wootzano is a cutting-edge robotics company that creates highly dexterous robots, better known as Avarai, for the post-harvest industry.

We are the only company in the world that is currently working with complex, delicate fruits such as grapes and vine tomatoes to pick and pack to the end-customer specification with the use of our award-winning electronics skin that enables robots to feel.

Nathan joined us for a placement year as a mechatronic engineer as part of his undergraduate course at the university.

During which, he excelled beyond any expectation we had for an individual still undergoing his studies.

Rather than shadowing staff members for guidance and support to complete a project, he himself has become a strong pillar for various aspects of our system picking up the required skills quickly and integrating them into a commercial system.
