KFM
KFM, a public authority and provider of healthcare support service s, understands the critical role that supply chains play in delivering world-class patient care.
In the UK, the NHS accounts for 4% of the UK’s CO2 emissions, with 70% identified as ‘Scope 3’ (supply chain) emissions.
With this in mind, alongside the exponential growth in demand for home deliveries of outpatient pharmacy medication since the Covid-19 pandemic, KFM needed a new solution.
KFM began looking for a delivery partner that could significantly improve patient experience through real-time tracking, thereby reducing complaints while supporting internal efficiencies.
Additionally, a key requirement was finding a partner that could contribute to the NHS net-zero carbon emissions target and provide greater value for money without impacting on patient care.
To address this challenge, KFM partnered with CitySprint, the UK’s largest same-day distribution company, renowned for its expertise in the field and in delivering time-sensitive medication to patients.
As a result of this partnership, the innovative solutions implemented by KFM and CitySprint have significantly improved operations, with the collaboration achieving a 99.2% first-time delivery rate, reaching 10,668 individual addresses since the contract start date – demonstrating a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and customer-centric solutions
