Dr. Max and Geek+ Telgate (Italy) Order Fulfillment Project

Geekplus has been collaborating with SSI Schaffer and Dr.

Max over half a dozen projects to help the leading pharmacy retailer gain order fulfillment efficiency in warehouses throughout Europe.

Through our collaboration, we have brought a range of Goods-to-Person order fulfillment and inventory storage automation to the pharmaceutical leader.

Max’s enormous selection of health and cosmetic products is a major order fulfillment challenge even without their 55-percent, year-over-year, increase in e-commerce revenue in 2023.

To ensure the fastest possible delivery to end customers throughout Europe – either via home delivery or via click and collect pickup – the company turned to flexible warehouse automation. In the most recent deployment, Geekplus implemented its Tote-to-Person RoboShuttle solution in the company’s new facility in Italy.

The solution combines an 8-meter-high shuttle robot for vertical storage with a fulfillment robot for fast picking.

This not only ensures quick and efficient picking and replenishment of product, but also supports current operations and future growth; the new warehouse already handles pharmacy deliveries in addition to e-commerce order Working in the facilities is also easier, the ergonomic workstations and intuitive software take a noticeable load off for employees.
