DPD’s sustainable fleet

DPD puts sustainability at the heart of its business practices.

We are on track to be net zero by 2040, an objective that has been fully validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). To get to our net zero 2040 goal, we are increasingly transforming our delivery fleet to be more sustainable.

Whether it’s electric vehicles, cleaner alternatives to diesel (hydrogenated vegetable oil), autonomous delivery robots, or our sustainable innovation business incubator, DPD is exploring every avenue to create the greenest fleet in Britain.

Over 30% of our last-mile delivery fleet is now electric, and by the end of this year 100% of our HGVs will use hydrogenated vegetable oils.

Altogether we are very proud to have cut our carbon emissions by 124,902 tco2e, an incredible 34% since a 2020 baseline.
