Border Force
GXO, the world’s largest contract logistics provider, started working with Border Force on 1 March 2021.
Border Force is a law enforcement command within the Home Office which secures the UK border by carrying out immigration and customs control for people and goods entering the country.
It detains or seizes goods and vehicles at the border which are sometimes adopted for onward investigation by His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) or the National Crime Agency (NCA).
Border Force controls 140 sea and airports across the UK and overseas.
Prior to working with GXO, Border Force was operating under an old, inefficient system.
GXO and Border Force embarked on a collaborative journey to transform the organisation’s haulage and storage solution, which is now managed by one service provider – GXO.
Border Force has seen tremendous benefits over the past two years – the implementation of a new solution to streamline processes and become more efficient, delivery of excellent service, improved safety, people development, and the embedding of a continuous improvement culture.
The partners have a joint vision when it comes to future opportunity, including activity to reduce road miles and minimise cost, while prioritising the reduction of the company’s environmental impact.
