Founded by Julian Broadbent, a former General Motors Executive, Applied EV combines a broad range of high-tech and automotive capabilities with experience in business development, program management and corporate governance to build a global business across Europe, Asia and Oceania. Applied EV’s core product, Digital Backbone™, is a centralized control system, setting a new benchmark for safety rated vehicles.

The technology enables vehicles of all shapes and sizes to run on software, reducing production costs, increasing efficiency, and making the entire ecosystem more sustainable. Constructed around the Digital Backbone is the Blanc Robot™, a 4WD, four-wheel steering, battery-electric vehicle platform, thereby creating a system provident of 80-90% of the development work needed for highly-specialized autonomous vehicles, leaving just the odd handful of application-specific tuning to partner- or customer- specific requirements. Applied EV has developed the technology and vehicle platform that addresses the most pressing needs of the automotive industry capable of navigating both on- and off- road environments with little to no human intervention.
