Several years ago, our organization encountered significant challenges in executing comprehensive business planning for the medium-term due to the absence of a unified system.
This deficiency, coupled with system constraints and gaps in collaboration tools to incorporate Strategic Leadership’s plans and daily Tactical and Operational planning, led to substantial issues across our order-to-cash process.
These issues resulted in delayed product deliveries, stockouts, overburdened capacities, and the need for expedited supplier orders. To address these challenges decisively, we decided to implement the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process comprehensively, utilizing SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) software.
This strategic decision allowed us to consolidate all siloed processes and data points into a cohesive system.
By doing so, we provided a single source of truth accessible to both internal and external stakeholders, enhancing overall operational efficiency and alignment.
