Nicholls Transport - EH Nicholls Jnr Ltd is a family run business based in Sittingbourne in Kent who are committed to being Green.

Having bought 42 LNG trucks that run on biomethane, the company cut greenhouse gas emissions by up to 191% from July 2022 to December 2023 (data from the Zemo Partnership's quarterly renewable fuel declarations).

It also stopped 3,914,763 kgs of CO2 from being released by its LNG trucks that ran on biomethane.

This saving is on top of the Nicholls site in Sittingbourne producing 80% of the electricity it uses with photovoltaic cells installed on the roofs of its buildings, harvesting the water that falls on its site for its truckwash and its beehives it has onsite and their award-winning honey.

Recently, Nicholls was audited for the first time by Ecovadis because they wanted to have an independent audit to show they were doing what they said they were doing.

The results put Nicholls in the top 35% of all companies audited and only 4 points from a silver medal award.

It also showed that in the transport by road category Nicholls was performing way above average in all fields.
