JLR (JaguarLandRover) Logistics Operations Centre

JLR have just launched their Logistics Operations Centre (LOC) adjacent to the Solihull manufacturing facility.

This operation consolidates 3 warehouse operations covering cross-dock; bulk storage and sequencing activities, and leverages high levels of automation to deliver efficiencies and cost savings in our inbound supply chain.

A 92,000 m2 building, purpose built during covid and subsequently fitted out with £48m of automation supplied by Dematic; the LOC represents a significant investment in JLR’s journey to transform it’s logistics operations in support of delivering Modern Luxury to our discerning customers.

3 million HGV miles /year on the West Midlands road network.

The LOC is capable of supporting vehicle production volumes of 276,000 cars per year including the iconic Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, and feeds material to the production plant on a just-in-time basis.
