EY Global Services
The environmental effects of business travel have some of the largest negative impacts on the working world’s global carbon footprint.
However, it is inevitable that EY professionals must commute to EY offices to build connections with colleagues and uphold the operational excellence they are known for, and that EY consultants must build strong and long-lasting relationships with clients in person.
The challenge that the EY organisation therefore faces is offering its professionals a variety of electrified options to travel in support of talent attraction and retention, while simultaneously reducing costs and the EY carbon footprint in a locally organised landscape.
The EY Automotive Mobility Center of Excellence (CoE) drives knowledge-sharing and best practice recommendations across the member firms of the EY organisation to balance these needs to deliver on the EY 2025 net-zero carbon ambition through: increased awareness and advice via data-driven analytics; cross-department and cross-country collaboration; organising knowledge-sharing sessions for decision-makers; embedding flexibility while reducing travellers’ exposure to risks; influencing and adjusting policies and employee transportation strategies; and installing charging stations at offices and at home.
