Respirex manufactures world-class personal protective equipment including gas-tight suits for fire and emergency services teams, air-fed chemically protective suits for the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as powered air-fed particulate suits and hoods for nuclear and pharmaceutical industries. OmnaTec provides automated solutions to UK customers in the manufacturing Industry.

They take a holistic, process-first approach to automation which helps manufacturers reduce waste and increase capacity. The developed Assembly and Test Solution (ATS) is an automated cell to prepare a family of assemblies without manual labour to increase Respirex’s production capacity. OmnaTec designed, prototyped, built, and commissioned EVAS over a 12-month period.

The unique cobot installation increased Respriex’s capacity with an ROI under two years.
