COS
Bleckmann’s Renewal Workshop recognised the market’s need for apparel and textile brands to extend the life of post-consumer products that were once considered waste.
To meet this demand, they created a “Renewal System”, which restores products to standardised conditions for resale.
Bleckmann partners with brands like COS to tell a new story to customers, increasing brand equity, sustainability, and customer value.
Together, COS and Bleckmann took a significant step towards this goal with the launch of COS Restore, a pilot garment renewal project.
COS Restore addresses the issue of clothing being discarded due to minor faults, offering shoppers the opportunity to purchase pre-loved garments, restored to like-new condition, in several COS stores across Europe, at an attractive price.
The Restore process involves customers handing in pre-loved clothing at COS stores in 21 markets across Europe, then sent to a COS distribution centre.
From there, garments are sorted and shipped to Bleckmann’s Renewal Workshop in the Netherlands, where Bleckmann experts employ a proprietary renewal process to restore each garment to optimal condition.
COS and Bleckmann’s collaboration demonstrates their commitment to offering a range of circular initiatives, with the ultimate vision of connecting all solutions to enable the most convenient sustainable shopping experience.
