Coca-Cola HBC
Coca-Cola HBC's Assisted Reality solution utilises specialised “smart” glasses that provide comprehensive information to operators, facilitating their daily tasks such as shelf position, identifying products, determining quantities, and selecting the correct items.
With a 7’ screen display, users are guided through the necessary steps to fulfil orders.
Confirmation of actions is done through voice commands.
These “smart glasses” essentially function as portable computers with Android technology, featuring pre-installed applications that support the visual and voice functions for streamlined operations.
This technology has been successfully deployed to Thessaloniki Distribution Centre in April 2019, with participation of two vendors TeamViewer (Vision Picking solution) and Atos (S4 Warehouse Integration), where in the first five months of use it already achieved a 99.9% accuracy and 15% productivity increase.
Since 2019 the company has expanded the solution to an additional 17 countries and 27 locations, covering >47% of the total company picked volume with Vision and Voice technology, achieving average 99.9% accuracy and a productivity increase of >15% vs previous solutions, and with plans to continue deployment across all its countries targeting >70% of picking volume coverage.
