Grocery retail is a big and fast-paced industry as people eat and drink every day.

Yet its logistics operation is exceptionally manual as an industry, especially its handling of fresh goods (veggie, fruits, dairy etc.).

This typical operation is a “pick-to-zero” process where operators manually sort a pallet full of products into a “target pallet or roll cage” which then get shipped to stores.

It takes the name “pick-to-zero” as all goods arrived during the day need to go out end of the day – so nothing gets stored overnight. Our solution has the potential to totally re-imagine this process using robots.

Our solution comprises of our AGI sorting robots and lifts.

An Operator can “induct” chill products, typically packaged in cases or totes, into sorting robots at fixed workstations.

Robots then carry them to a target destination, into store locations.

Lifts can be added to better utilize vertical space (e.g.

3 destinations on 3 levels).

It has the potential of saving up to 60% of the labour costs and can be twice as fast as its manual alternative.
